What is Recuperative Yoga?
Recuperative Yoga is a relaxing yoga practiced at a slow pace. It aims to restore your energy levels in a subtle way, relieve stress, and promote deep relaxation. Stillness in postures can help clearing blockages in nadis (meridians) and increase the flow of prana (energy), improve the health of our organs, thus promoting a general sense of wellbeing.
Recuperative yoga asanas (postures) practiced in a supported way are restful, tone the body with minimum effort, nourish the nervous system and increase the efficiency of the glandular system, which is essential for physical and mental health. The concept of balance is simple and profound, as such we find it at the root and heart of many of the worlds greatest
healing systems, including Yoga.
Recuperative yoga is especially recommended for relaxing after a stressful week and thus increasing your enjoyment of the weekend. No previous experience of yoga is required for this style of yoga.
