What is Sivananda Yoga?
Sivananda Yoga is a simplified method of classical yoga, shaping it to your own lifestyle. This form of yoga focusses on improving and maintianing your health and well-being.
What does it involve?
Sivananda Yoga is centered around the full yogic breathing technique, whilst holding poses from simple to complex. Emphasis is inflicted upon the internal dynamics, the bahndas (energetic dynamics) in particular, and how they have an impact on the breath. The breath is used whilst entering and leaving poses, which helps allow the body and the mind to open and then relax again.
Who is Sivananda Yoga good for?
Sivananda Yoga can be practiced by all people of all ages and especially those looking to improve on their flexibility and strength. This type of yoga is also good to help calm the mind and become more focussed.
